| The Management fest was organized on 22nd Oct, 2011 for the post graduate students of MBA, MCA and M.Tech. The Highlights of this fest included Rangoli and Making Show, Ad Mad Show, Computer Games and Extempore. |

| WORKSHOP ON FINANCIAL EDUCATION BY SEBI |
Mr. Mukul Jain, Visiting Professor and SEBI Financial Education Resource Person & Management Consultant conducted a workshop on financial education for the Young Investors on March 13, 2012. Mr. Mukul Jain is a certified financial education trainer of Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI). This workshop was basically on financial awareness among people, so that they can make sound financial decisions. About 300 post-graduate students of MBA and M.Tech. attended this workshop. Prof. B.D Sharma-Dean Academics welcomed Mr. Mukul Jain to the institute and appreciated the SEBI for selecting our institute for this purpose. Mr. Mukul Jain assured that such workshops wuld be conducted in the institute in future also. |

| INDUCTION PROGRAMME - PARICHAY |
After admission, the new students embark on a program of orientation planned to make them familiar with their new work life and environment. In order to prepare them for the year ahead, they are taken in groups to the library so as to know how to make the best use of it. They are acquainted with various rules and regulations which they must obey. The students are acquainted with internal assessment, mid semester test, syllabus and other important matters. In this way, every student becomes better equipped to participate in college activities and profitably spend his/her years at Global Institutes. |

| IBM CONDUCTS 3 DAY TECHNICAL WORKSHOP FOR B.TECH. AND MCA STUDENTS UNDER IBM ACADEMIC INITIATIVE PROGRAM FROM MARCH 13-15, 2012 |
IBM officials visited Global Institutes and conducted three days technical workshop for the students under IBM Industry Academic Initiative Programme. This technical were based on IBM DB2 Technology that provides technical platform to the students to help them to work with IBM live projects alongwith their academics. So as to enhance their technical skills and make them familiar with the latest and emerging technological trends that are taking place in the corporate world. |

Infosys visited Global Institutes for placement of MBA students on 27th March, 2010. Mr. Hemant Sonawane, HR Executive (Recruitment) from Pune conducted the placement drive.

Amritsar Management Associations (AMA) organized a management meet on 'Emerging Socio-Economic Challenges' before future managers. | LECTURE BY MINOO FALI TITINA ON EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION SKILLS & TIME MANAGEMENT |
| Mr. Minoo Fali Titina from Mumbai delivered a lecture on Effective Communication Skills & Time Management on February 9, 2012. Mr. Minoo is currently working as General Manager – Admin & HR with a Facility Management (ISO: 9001: 2008) Company with a contractual employee strength of 5000 +. He laid emphasis that effective communication plays a very important role in the success of a person. Giving examples from real life situation he explained in detail how effective communication with a smiling face has made the people successful. Keeping an eye contact and calling the person by name are the fundamentals of effective communication. Similarly while discussing time management, he stated that time spent on planning is the time spent well. His lecture was highly appreciated by the students as well as the faculty members. |

| LECTURE ON "HUMAN VALUES AND PROFESSIONAL ETHICS" |
Hon'ble Dr. Rajneesh Arora, Vice Chancellor, PTU, visited Global Institutes on April 21, 2010. He interacted with Management and Staff on "HUMAN VALUES AND PROFESSIONAL ETHICS" He presented his views regarding the significant role played by Value Education, Sanyama and Swasthya in human life that further leads to self-exploration. He laid emphasis on maintaining equilibrium between the Basic Human Aspirations and Harmony at various levels for leading a happy and prosperous life. |
